On Thursday evening, a good crowd at Pittsburgh's New Hazlett Theater heard State Representative Chelsa Wagner, PAT CEO Steve Bland, Lea+Elliott Principal Sanjeev Shah, and CMU Professor Chip Walter discuss the future of public transit in the Pittsburgh region.

At the end of the forum, Chip Walter also introduced CITIWIKI, a new collaborative project to allow the public to design an integrated transportation plan for the future of the Pittsburgh region. He touted CITIWIKI as the first "wiki" to deal with urban planning and transit issues.

A "wiki" is a special web site which allows any member of the public, after first registering, to *very easily* help edit whatever document is being produced on the web site. Of course, the Wikipedia on-line encyclopedia is the most well-known example of this.

Chip Walter invited everyone in Thursday's audience, as well as other people in the community, to join CITIWIKI and help produce an integrated transportation plan for the Pittsburgh region.

You can find CITIWIKI, and register and participate in the integrated transportation plan, by going to this web site:
